Th book, written by Franco Zagari with a preface by Bruno Sacco, briefly tells the story of the three characters (Daimler, Maybach and Benz) who gave life to the Mercedes. The book features 478 images, many of which are previously unpublished, enriched by punctual and full-bodied captions, which illustrate the most important models of mass production, the technical characteristics of the cars and especially all the races in which they participated, dominating, until the year 1957.
Images of Grand Prix, Mille Miglia, Targa Florio, the Circuit of Pescara or speed record attempts alternate with photographs illustrating prototypes, specials and production cars made by the best Italian and German coachbuilders.
