A day-by-day narrative journal of the 1919 Around the Rim Flight ordered by Gen. Billy Mitchell to demonstrate the advancement of aviation and in particular the use of aircraft for military purposes. In addition the crew of three pilots and two mechanics were consigned the public relations task to encourage municipalities to build airports. The foreword is by famous author Robert J. Serling.
