Description

Extensive text and images related to all Ferraris which entered Australia in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

A number of the world’s iconic Ferraris made their way ‘downunder’, many of which have since been or are still owned, by Americans. For instance, the 857S Monza was driven by Phil Hill and Jim Kimberly, the 246 F1 was driven by Phil Hill, the 246T was owned and raced by Graham Adelman, the 330 P4 was infamously owned by Walter Medlin, one of the 250 LMs is owned by Ralph Lauren, the 250TR (P) is owned by John Shirley having previously been owned by Bev Spencer, Charles Betz and Fred Peters.  These and others in the book are among some of the most famous and desirable Ferraris ever made.  Australia and Australians were fortunate to have seen such cars up close back then when the southern hemisphere summer attracted the top Formula 1 and sports car drivers and cars from all over the world.
