This book “Chatillon” is a must for all old car enthusiasts who have visited this legendary site in the past. Hundreds of mainly old American cars stood there rusting away in an area where you certainly would not expect them. Visitors certainly remember Fernand Contant the owner of the scrap yard. Everything has now been cleaned up, but numerous photographs show that it was not always the jungle of car wrecks that can be seen on the internet. In this book the history is discussed and also the current museum. The main parts are the photographs, which are from different photographers and date from 1974 to 2010. The book is bilingual, Dutch – English.
