Volume 1 is prefaced by René Dreyfus and includes many unpublished photos. It covers details of the races chronologically from 1936 to 1957.The results each race and the places of the Talbot Lagos, their type and chassis number, are included. Drivers, mechanics, friends and family narrate the events to re-create the racing atmosphere of the 1930’s, 40’s and 50’s.
Volume 2 contains 612 photos – 129 color and 483 B&W – and presents the forty extraordinary racecars and known replicas with their corresponding type and chassis number. Anecdotes from the drivers of these extraordinary Talbots are concisely narrated.
Production, technical characteristics, evolution and the major contenders for each type of Talbot are included.
Each car is listed by chassis ID and engine number. The complete history includes: the successive owners and their stories, the competitions they took part in, the results obtained at the Grand Prix races, the original specifications, and the successive improvements made on each car.
